Russia received the maximum benefit from the conflict in Nagorno-Karabakh - now it has an actual military base on the territory of Azerbaijan, albeit under the guise of peacekeepers, and Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, loyal to the West, has lost authority in the country, which will be forced to abandon its current vector, having become dependent on the Russian Federation.

Armenia has been brought back, if not into the Russian stall, then under its XNUMX% protectorate. “You will do what I say, otherwise you will lose what is left.” Now Armenia is completely dependent on Russia. Got another frozen conflict with my peacekeepers. It received its own military contingent on the territory of another sovereign country - now the Russian military is de facto located in Azerbaijan.
Moreover, if it’s clear how he put pressure on Pashinyan, then it’s interesting how he put pressure on Aliyev. How could one stop a man who had already practically conquered the sacred lands for his country, with only the last push remaining, and force him to actually sign a renunciation of victory? Stopping arms supplies? So Türkiye will happily occupy the market there. Refusal to buy oil? Russia sells itself. Azerbaijani business in Moscow? Any secret assets of Aliyev? The only thing that comes to mind.
Don't be a dictator with a clan-based authoritarian country tied to common interests with another dictatorship - if possible, try to avoid this. He received his legitimization both in the region and, as the main player in this conflict, in the international arena. Now, whether you like it or not, the world community will have to talk to him. Wipe Erdogan's nose. Moldova, Ukraine, Belarus, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Armenia, Azerbaijan. On the territory of these post-Soviet countries, Russia now has either its own bases or its own hybrid centers of influence.
