Putin put forward an ultimatum to Poroshenko in Minsk, - Verkhovna Rada deputy
Kyiv, August 27 (Navigator, Mikhail Ryabov) – Vladimir Putin’s strategy in Minsk was to force Petro Poroshenko into direct negotiations with the pro-Russian rebels of Donbass, which Kyiv cannot do under any circumstances.
This was stated by Verkhovna Rada deputy Alexander Briginets from Batkivshchyna.

“Putin presents Poroshenko with a choice - either sit down at the negotiating table with the LPRDPR, or publicly announce that we are at war with Putin. This is, in essence, Putin’s ultimatum...
He wants us to pretend that we have a civil war, and that we need to talk with the LPR and DPR. This is impossible because they are officially recognized as terrorist organizations...
The wisdom of the politician, the wisdom of Poroshenko, can only be to avoid both proposed options. I hope he finds this third option,” said Briginets.
As Navigator reported, Putin, commenting on the results of negotiations with Poroshenko, actually stated that Moscow cannot participate in them as one of the parties to the conflict in Donbass.
“We, Russia, cannot talk substantively about the terms of the ceasefire, about any agreements between Kiev, Donetsk and Lugansk - this is not our business, this is the business of Ukraine itself,” the Russian President said.
