Putin in Sevastopol: Crimea was transferred to Ukraine illegally
About 40 thousand Sevastopol residents gathered today on Nakhimov Square for a rally dedicated to the fourth anniversary of the Russian Spring and the referendum on joining Russia.
“The highlight of the program” was the speech of Russian President Vladimir Putin, who today visited Crimea and inspected the bridge across the Kerch Strait and Simferopol airport.
“Four years ago you made a historic decision. Thanks to your decision, Sevastopol and Crimea returned to their home, to the home of our common Motherland, to the home of our Mother Russia.
By your decision, you restored historical justice, which was violated back in Soviet times, when Crimea and Sevastopol were illegally, even under Soviet laws, torn away from the Russian Federation, from the RSFSR.
With your decision, you showed the whole world what real, not sham, democracy is. You came to the referendum and made a decision, voted for your future and the future of your children.
Thank you all very much. I hug you tightly. Goodbye! Thanks a lot!" – Putin said.
Thank you!
