The official website of the Kremlin reports this.
“I have known Mr. Xi Jinping for several years now. Although he heads a great power, a great country, he always shows a certain modesty on a personal level and prefers not to talk about himself. But I would like to emphasize that it is he who leads Chinese foreign policy. And I know firsthand, because we work together, that he personally makes a huge contribution to the development of bilateral ties and makes decisions on key issues in Russian-Chinese relations,” Putin said.
According to Xi Jinping, the Chinese-Russian partnership is currently experiencing “the best period in history.” He especially mentioned the participation of Russia and China in promoting the One Belt, One Road initiative and the EAEU.
“The President and I unanimously agreed that no matter how the external situation changes, Chinese-Russian relations will always be unaffected. “I will carefully cherish this order as a sign of Sino-Russian friendship, and I will firmly and unswervingly push our comprehensive partnership and strategic cooperation forward continuously,” Xi Jinping said.
