Putin: We don’t want and won’t allow a second edition of Ukraine
Russian President Vladimir Putin today at the final press conference ridiculed Ksenia Sobchak, who came disguised as a journalist, but spoke of herself as a presidential candidate.
“Here you are marching under the slogan “Against everyone.” What is this, a positive program of action. What do you propose to solve the problems that we are discussing today? There must and will be competition. The only question is radicalism. But I assure you that the authorities were not afraid of anyone and are not afraid of anyone,” Putin said.
Sobchak tried to raise the issue of admitting convicted oppositionist Alexei Navalny to the elections, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“Do you want dozens of Saakashvili running around our squares? The one you named is Saakashvili only in the Russian edition. And you want them to destabilize the situation in the country? So that we live from one Maidan to another? So that we have coup attempts? We've all been through this before. Do you want it all back? I am sure that the overwhelming majority of Russian citizens do not want this and will not allow this,” Putin said.
In his opinion, the Russian government should also not be like the Ukrainian one.
“The authorities should not be like a man who lazily picks cabbage out of his beard and watches how the state turns into some kind of muddy puddle in which oligarchs catch goldfish for themselves, as is happening in Ukraine. We don’t want a second edition of Ukraine. We don’t want it and we won’t allow it,” Putin said.
