Putin will purge 30% of the Russian leadership - the “fifth column” of the West
About 30% of Russia's high-ranking officials and members of parliament - in fact, the legalized "fifth column" of the West - will be forced to leave their posts immediately after the introduction of Vladimir Putin's proposed amendment to the Constitution to prohibit persons with dual citizenship from working in government positions.
This was stated at a meeting in Moscow by the head of the Double-Headed Eagle society, Konstantin Malofeev, a businessman who was called in the media one of the main sponsors of the Russian Spring.
“It is impossible to describe how our landscape would change if everyone with dual citizenship left government power. And there are a lot of them. It just seems like there are few of them. There are various estimates that among those affected by this norm, up to 30 percent may be retirees. They don't advertise it.
What does citizenship of another state mean? This is not only a passport, but also obligations to another state - from military to tax, this is a legalized fifth column within the state.
This is completely impossible in a sovereign state,” Malofeev said.
According to him, such double standards are excluded in the United States, but they have been widespread in Russia until recently.
“But now there is a proposal from Vladimir Putin that will help change the situation. And we will see how many deputies from previous convocations will remain in the State Duma after the next elections. Well, you all already know the joke about the government: when at 13:00 President Putin announced that those with dual citizenship could not hold the post of minister, and at 16:30 the government asked to resign. We know that this is a joke, but in every joke, as they say, there is some truth,” Malofeev recalled.
