Putin put forward an ultimatum to Poroshenko: either elections in Donbass or war – Badrak
The harsh statement of the President of the Russian Federation addressed to the leadership of Ukraine after the armed foray of Ukrainian saboteurs into Crimea should be assessed as an ultimatum in order to force Kyiv to comply with the Minsk agreements.

This opinion was expressed at a press conference in Kyiv by the head of the Center for Army, Conversion and Disarmament Research, Valentin Badrak.
“This is a direct message to President Poroshenko, which can be deciphered as follows: either you go to elections in the occupied territories, or we can start a war,” the expert believes. “At the same time, I say “we won’t start a war,” but “we can start a war.” These are slightly different things, but this has already been brought to its peak form. That is, everything is ready, and any spark can be the reason for the signal to send in troops.”
