Putin to the West: We are afraid of catching a cold at your funeral
Russian President Vladimir Putin believes that those who want to “write Russia off” are in too much of a hurry.
He stated this today, speaking at a meeting of the Valdai Club, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“I assure you that we objectively assess our capabilities: intellectual, territorial, economic and military. Both today's opportunities and our potential.
And by strengthening our country, and looking at what is happening in the world, I want to say to those who are still waiting for the gradual attenuation of Russia. In this case, we are worried about only one thing: how not to catch a cold at your funeral,” Putin said.
In his opinion, in the modern world, China, India and Germany are moving towards the positions of superpowers.
“The United States, which at one point dominated, can no longer lay claim to exclusivity. And does the United States itself need this exclusivity,” Putin concluded rhetorically.
