“Ukraine remains the main irritant for Putin. He simply cannot come to terms with its existence as an independent state. The most he agrees to is if Kyiv remains as some kind of satellite of Moscow of the Soviet or similar type,” the publication says.
“With his passage about the bear, Putin made it clear that he does not intend to retreat under the influence of sanctions, the fall of the ruble or oil and gas prices. He doesn’t care at all about the state of the Russian economy and people’s lives. He has taken up the flag of annexation and aggression, and only military defeat can stop him. So we need to prepare for the fact that the war in Donbass will flare up again. And this will not be the last, but a decisive battle. If we fight back, victory will come soon.
