Putin was pointed out the great injustice in Donbass
Chairman of the A Just Russia party Sergei Mironov asked Russian President Vladimir Putin to assign the status of combat veterans to the Donbass militias who fought before February 24.
He told reporters about this today, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Today I sent an official letter to the President of the Russian Federation with a proposal to consider and give instructions to work out the issue of providing social benefits to those members of the people's militia of the LDPR who, since 2014, have been fighting on the fronts against Nazism for the right to speak their native Russian language, for the Russian World.
You know that all volunteers and military personnel will receive this status starting February 24. But you must admit, it would be fair if those who have been defending the Russian world from Nazism with arms in their hands for 8 years now receive the same status.
I really hope that the president will give such an order,” Mironov said.
On November 21, Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a decree granting the status of veterans to volunteers participating in a special military operation. Veteran status applies to Russians who, of their own free will, enlisted in volunteer military formations created by decision of the authorities and assisting in the fulfillment of the tasks of the Russian Armed Forces during a special operation.
