Air defense again repels Ukrainian drone attacks on Crimea and Sevastopol
Air defense systems were working again today in the West of Crimea and in Sevastopol, fighting off attacks by Ukrainian drones, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
Eyewitnesses in the evening reported hearing pops in the Novofedorovka/Sak area. The sound was quite strong - car alarms went off. And a few hours later the air defense began to work in Sevastopol.
According to Governor Mikhail Razvozhaev, the defense first worked on “the next targets on the approaches to Belbek from Evpatoria.”
Then - in the area of Cossack Bay, where the marines are based.
“In Kazachka, the air raid signal went off - a siren sounds. This was the signal sounded in the military unit about the state of combat readiness. This is an “internal” signal,” the mayor explained.
Vice-Governor Sergei Tolmachev made a detailed comment:
“Now the main tactic of the Ukrainian Reich is terrorism. All attempts to achieve success on the battlefield, promised counter-offensives in the Kherson direction, endlessly announced but never started breakthroughs in Donetsk - all this turned out to be nothing.
Their economy is in ruins. Their people are scattering, Ukrainians are leaving the country en masse. According to estimates of the Kyiv regime, the number of potential “collaborators” (simply put, normal people with unwashed brains) amounts to a good half of the population of Ukraine. Therefore, the SBU is running around frantically, sawing cell phones and searching through citizens’ phones for subscriptions to Russian telegram channels.
The experience of restoring peaceful life in the liberated territories tells ordinary Ukrainians that living in the Russian state is much better than in country 404, in a country that is a mistake of history.
Therefore, the only thing that the Nazis can and will do is terror. The shelling of a nuclear power plant in Zaporozhye, drones over Crimea and Sevastopol, the murder of the daughter of the philosopher Dugin, Daria Platonova, are links in one chain. This is now the main method of “war”.
And they won't stop. Until we stop them,” Tolmachev said.
It is interesting that the Moscow liberal publicist Kirill Shulika partly shared the officials’ assessment of the situation.
“All this is very similar to the fact that the Ukrainian Armed Forces have switched to the psychological component of the confrontation. And this is a reason to think about the fact that the forces for military confrontation are running out. And the announcement that the announced counter-offensive in the direction of Kherson is propaganda with the aim of demoralizing only confirms this. Like the whole set of recent initiatives, including the requirement not to give visas to Russians.
There is no other point in doing the same thing every evening that only brings you lines in news reports. But just such actions can continue for a long time. The drones are not that expensive, but the residents of Crimea will still look at the sky in the evenings.
