Drunken shootout between military personnel in Donbass ends in tragedy
As a result of a conflict that arose over the use of alcohol, two Ukrainian Armed Forces servicemen received gunshot wounds.
Ivan Filiponenko, an officer of the press service of the People's Militia of the LPR, stated this at a briefing, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to him, the People's Militia of the LPR continues to record an increase in non-combat losses among military personnel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
“On June 4, in the first battalion of the 54th separate mechanized brigade, against the backdrop of a conflict caused by excessive consumption of alcoholic beverages, two servicemen were injured from service weapons,” said Ivan Filiponenko.
At the same time, he did not rule out that the wounded Ukrainian military could be passed off as yet another victim of shelling allegedly carried out by units of the LPR People’s Militia.
“The battalion commander, Lieutenant Colonel Sergei Vysokolyan, is hiding this fact from the brigade command,” added the representative of the defense department.
