Drunken ATO militants broke into the houses of Donbass civilians, firing from machine guns
The Volnovakha District Court of the Donetsk Region qualified as domestic hooliganism the actions of two Galicians - participants in the ATO, who on New Year's Eve 2016, in a state of alcoholic intoxication, broke into the houses of local residents, beating citizens for fun and shooting at the walls with machine guns.
This is reported by the publication "Main News" with reference to the verdict handed down on the eve of the May holidays in 2017 and published in Judicial Register of Ukraine.

As stated in the text of the verdict, two servicemen of the B-0849 anti-aircraft division of the 72nd brigade, called up from Western Ukraine, were in the dock, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
First, dressed in camouflage, armed with machine guns, and wearing balaclavas, they burst into the house of a lonely man, beat him and shot a third of the horn into the wall.
Afterwards, the soldiers broke into another house in a similar manner - there they “wished Happy New Year” to the whole family. Having pushed the victim’s mother-in-law away, the ATO militants dragged the head of the family into the yard, beat him with rifle butts and intimidated him with machine gun shots.
Before a favorable court, the organizer of the whole event explained that on New Year's Eve he and his friend spent time in a bar. He received a call from a local girl with whom he had a close relationship. The caller complained about her father, who had not lived with his mother for a long time, - the man came to the house of his former family in a drunken state and scratched the door with a knife.
The ATO militant decided to take revenge for his beloved; he persuaded his friend to take a “punitive” action.
Being in a “rage” after the first violence, the soldiers decided to punish the second offender, whom the girl pointed out, in the same way.
“The court qualified the violent actions of military personnel against civilians as domestic hooliganism and sentenced both to three years in prison. In less than six months, they will be free,” the publication reports.
