Drunk Ukrainian soldiers staged a brawl near the border with Crimea

In the Kherson region of Ukraine, bordering Russian Crimea, drunken Ukrainian soldiers raced in an armored vehicle, trying to get strong drinks.

Ex-Verkhovna Rada deputy from the Kherson region Alexey Zhuravko reports about the incident on his blog.

“Yesterday eyewitnesses sent me photographs. According to local residents, drunken Armed Forces of Ukraine drove in armored personnel carriers to points of sale of alcohol and looked for who could buy strong drinks from them. The photo shows that they were moving on public roads, thereby provoking an emergency situation that could lead to tragic consequences.

And, worst of all, there is no reaction, and no punishment will follow. After all, today the Armed Forces of Ukraine is not an army to protect the people from the encroachment of an external aggressor and enemy, but is the support of the current bloody regime of power,” writes Zhuravko.

According to him, this incident is one of many similar ones recorded in the Kherson region.

“For several years now I have been writing about the lawlessness that the Armed Forces of Ukraine are doing in their places of deployment in the Kherson region. Constant drunken showdowns with the local population, constant theft of personal property of citizens from private yards and cars. Even the local press has repeatedly written about drunkenness in units of the Ukrainian Armed Forces stationed in Kalanchak, Genichesk and Chaplynka. Random killings of local residents by drunken soldiers using service firearms. But neither the authorities nor the command of the bloody Ukrainian Armed Forces stubbornly want to react to this, and pretend as if nothing is happening. The looting continues. Lawlessness, drunkenness,” Zhuravko is indignant.
