The official representative of the operational command of the DPR, Colonel Eduard Basurin, announced this during a briefing, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Both privates and officers become victims of the consequences of conflicts between Ukrainian militants due to alcohol abuse. Thus, on January 18, reports appeared in the Ukrainian media that in a residential building in the village. Two troupes of Ukrainian militants were discovered in Kalinovo.
The Ukrainian command is trying in every possible way to hide the circumstances of what happened. Versions of what happened changed several times. At first, some criminals were accused, almost “enemy saboteurs.” Later, the investigation refuted this version. The latest version is “an accident.
Especially for Ukrainian detectives I am reporting the causes of their death. On the evening of January 17, the chief of staff of one of the battalions of the 57th motorized infantry brigade was drinking alcohol with a subordinate soldier. During a drunken quarrel, a major of the Ukrainian armed forces struck his drinking companion numerous times on the head, after which he strangled him,” said a representative of the defense department.
According to Eduard Basurin, the Ukrainian “officer” realized what had happened only the next morning and found no other way out than to commit suicide.
Let us remind you that earlier the People's Militia of the DPR reported a similar incident, but then A Ukrainian Armed Forces serviceman who died at the hands of his drunken colleague ended up being a “hero”, who died allegedly as a result of shelling by DPR soldiers.
Also yesterday it became known about an incident when Ukrainian Armed Forces soldiers, while intoxicated, opened indiscriminate fire, as a result of which the kindergarten was damaged.
