While intoxicated, a Ukrainian army officer, driving a car at high speed, hit a young man who was crossing the road at a pedestrian crossing.

The official representative of the People's Militia of the LPR, Lieutenant Colonel Andrei Marochko, spoke about this, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Despite the attempts of the command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine to hide violations of military discipline, including the regular consumption of alcohol by personnel located in the ATO zone, new facts of violations were recorded. Thus, on January 15, in the area of the village of Rubezhnoye, an officer of the 58th motorized infantry brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, driving a car while intoxicated, hit a local resident.
According to the source, in the populated area the criminal was moving at a speed of 140 kilometers per hour. When leaving the pedestrian crossing, he hit a 22-year-old local resident,” said Andrei Marochko.
As a result of the accident, the young man died and the serviceman was detained. An investigation into this incident is underway.
