The son of the deputy prosecutor of Lisichansk, Andrei Kurbatov, was detained. “Traveller” will soon be handed over to the Ukrainian side. A conversation with the detainee was also published on the website of the Ministry of State Security, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“I am Andrey Sergeevich Kurbatov, born on May 21, 1990, I live in the city of Popasnaya. On September 11, I drank alcohol at the headquarters, after which I got lost and ended up on the demarcation line, being heavily intoxicated. He was detained by the LPR military. They treated me normally: no one offended me, no one pressed me, no one put any pressure on me. They interrogated me as usual, fed me, took me to wash and clean myself, that is, everything was fine. No one had any bad influence on me.
Mother - Olga Vladimirovna Kurbatova, born on April 25, 1967, works in the Lisichansk prosecutor's office as a deputy prosecutor. I have a common-law wife, Alexandra Vasilievna Kharkolyuk, and three children. In 2014, I didn’t participate anywhere, but I went to vote in the referendum. Let's speak openly: almost all the residents of Popasna went to this referendum, and almost everyone voted for it.
They voted... no one here wanted any war, they didn’t really want to secede. People wanted to hold a referendum on their continued existence, that is, some kind of autonomy, but no one gave it. There are many military men in the city. I saw "Dnipro-1", battalion "Vinnitsa". Now everything is strange, you won’t understand who is who there.
They don't behave very well. There are normal ones, but most behave incorrectly. Personally, I have encountered “Tornadovites”. They stopped us at work and pulled us off diesel locomotives. There were facts that people were offended that drunken soldiers offended them. This, of course, exists. People are tired of this military action, this war, people don’t want war, everyone wants peace, everyone wants it all to stop, everything to stop already, so that there are at least some distinctions, if only it all stops. It’s not what the majority want, everyone wants it. I am against war, I want peace,” said the detainee.
