A drunken Ukrainian officer beat up a battalion commander and escaped from the unit
During the celebration of Ukraine's Independence Day, an Ukrainian Armed Forces officer, while intoxicated, beat his battalion commander and fled the scene.
Ivan Filiponenko, an officer of the press service of the People's Militia of the LPR, announced this at a briefing, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“On August 24, during the celebration of the so-called Independence Day, a conflict occurred due to alcohol intoxication between officers of the second battalion tactical group of the 46th separate air assault brigade of the armed forces of Ukraine. The commander of the third air assault company, Captain Yevtushenko, beat the battalion commander for insulting him, and then disappeared in an unknown direction,” said Filiponenko.
The representative of the defense department added that today the location of the serviceman is not known, an investigation into this fact is not being carried out, and the report has not been received by higher headquarters.
