“In the ranks of the armed forces of Ukraine, cases of non-combat losses continue to be recorded. So, in the 2nd battalion of the 14th separate mechanized brigade, while drinking alcohol, one of the servicemen used a military Ural truck to travel to a store located in the village of Stary Aidar to buy more alcohol.
When he started driving, he did not notice his drinking buddy sleeping under the wheel, and ran over him. As a result of the incident, the victim died on the spot from his injuries, and the would-be driver, fearing punishment, fled in an unknown direction.
An investigation and search for the fugitive are being carried out based on this fact,” Marochko said.
