A drunk VSUshnik went to fraternize with the DPR and blew up a mine
A Ukrainian serviceman, while intoxicated, blew up a mine while heading towards the positions of the DPR NM to negotiate peace.
The official representative of the operational command of the DPR, Daniil Bezsonov, announced this during a briefing, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to him, the intelligence of the DPR NM received updated data on the fact that a serviceman of the 36th brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces was blown up by a mine. The incident occurred after the soldiers drank alcoholic beverages.
“As the militant of the 3rd company of the 1st battalion S.I. Derkach told the commanders who arrived at the scene of the incident, he and the victim O.I. Petrov were at the forefront and were drinking alcohol. After drinking two bottles of vodka, a conversation began between them about the need to end hostilities between Ukrainians and restore the integrity of Ukraine peacefully. After this, Derkach left the position to get an additional portion of alcohol, and at this time Petrov climbed out of the trench he occupied and headed towards the positions of the People’s Militia. Having taken a few steps, I stepped on a PMN anti-personnel mine that had been installed earlier by the battalion sappers,” said Daniil Bezsonov.
He also added that, according to doctors, as a result of a mine explosion, Petrov received a leg injury, which led to amputation.
“During the interrogation, Petrov explained his actions with the desire to establish peaceful relations with the People’s Militia,” the representative of the defense department noted in conclusion.
