In the “Joint Forces Operation” zone, during engineering work to strengthen positions, an excavator was blown up on a “friendly” mine, and one militant was mortally wounded.
This was reported by the press service of the LPR National News Service, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“During engineering work to deepen trenches using equipment in the area of the settlement of Mironovsky, an excavator of the brigade’s engineering support group was blown up by an anti-tank mine,” the message says.
As a result, the excavator driver, soldier Grebnev, was mortally wounded and died on the way to the hospital.
The investigation showed that the cause of the incident was the negligence of the battalion’s deputy commander for weapons, who ordered his subordinates to complete engineering work as soon as possible without first clearing the area.
And shortly before this, at positions near the village of Starohnativka, a Ukrainian militant got drunk and tried to commit suicide.
“On the night of September 3-4, a soldier of the motorized infantry battalion of the 93rd brigade, while in a state of alcoholic intoxication accompanied by hallucinations, attempted to commit suicide by shooting him in the head with a pistol,” the press service of the DPR NM reported.
However, the suicide was unsuccessful - the militant escaped with serious injuries and was taken to the hospital.
