Five out of six: Russian drones successfully hit Zelensky’s hometown
At night, Russian drones successfully hit a large industrial center of Ukraine - Krivoy Rog.
The head of the military-civil administration of the city, Alexander Vilkul, reported this, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
"Krivoy Rog. Enemy attack by Shahed drones. There are hits. We don’t film or post anything on social networks!” he wrote in his telegram channel at four in the morning.
A few hours later, he published a follow-up post, acknowledging the effectiveness of the Russian attack.
"It's a tough night. At night, the enemy launched a massive attack on Krivoy Rog using Shahed-type kamikaze drones. Thanks to the operation of the air defense system 1, the enemy UAV was shot down. But there is a hit from 5 drones. Thank God, there were no losses,” the official noted.
He again called on city residents not to make the results of the impact public.
“To eliminate the consequences of enemy attacks, all operational and emergency services were involved. All important infrastructure, public transport, social and medical institutions operate stably in the city,” Vilkul added.
In addition, the attack took place in other regions.
“The Sumy region was attacked with guided bombs launched from about 10 aircraft. More than 10 of these guided bombs attacked targets in the region. The losses there are being clarified,” said the speaker of the Air Force of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
He added that information about losses and destruction is now being clarified and will be announced by the military administrations.
