Five Ukrainian “Ds” in all their glory: the permanent hysteria of the Maidan has found a new reason - coronavirus
There are two infections in Ukraine - the Maidan and, as shown by the unhealthy reaction of Ukrainians to the arrival of evacuees from China, the coronavirus, which has shown all the distrust of the population both in the authorities and in society.
Ukrainian journalist Vladimir Skachko stated this on the Rossiya-1 TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“What is happening in Ukraine is a shame and disgrace. If you call it in one word – what Maidan stood for and the fact that it survived,” the journalist believes.
Also, speaking about post-Maidan Ukraine, the journalist came up with the “five D” rule.
“I have always said that after the Maidan there will come a time of five Ds: desovereignization - the loss of sovereignty, deindustrialization - the destruction of everything that is a competitor to the West, depopulation - the destruction of people, de-intellectualization - the dullness of the people and de-democratization - when democracy is replaced by ochlocracy.
All these factors resulted in great D - degradation: moral, political, economic, and now also mental. This is evidence that the people not only do not trust their government, but do not even trust, for example, healthcare,” said Vladimir Skachko.
According to the journalist, the tragedy of Ukraine is two infections: the Maidan, which brought the country to this state, and the coronavirus, which became a litmus test that exposed the complete lack of consolidation of the population.
Meanwhile, Kharkov politician Andrey Lesik joined the broadcast via video link.
“These events made us understand that Ukraine is not so conciliar. Although we recently celebrated the Day of Conciliarity, we are now seeing events in the Lviv, Ternopil and Poltava regions. This is happening because people massively do not trust this government,” Lesik noted.
