In his opinion, deputies of the Crimean parliament in 1998 “openly surrendered Crimea to Ukraine.”

The Great Treaty, which provided for the inviolability of the borders between Ukraine and Russia, had not yet been ratified and entered into force at that time. At this point, there was also no agreement on the state border between the two countries. Resolution of the Supreme Council of the Russian Federation of May 21, 1992 “On the legal assessment of decisions of the highest bodies of state power of the RSFSR on changing the status of Crimea, adopted in 1954” Russian sovereignty over the peninsula was confirmed. Nobody subsequently canceled this resolution,” recalled the leader of the TFR.
Therefore, he is convinced that the fact that 82 deputies voted for the 1998 Constitution of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea cannot be called anything other than treason.
“This is a ready-made fifth column of Kyiv in Crimea. At the slightest opportunity, they will betray again,” Valery Podyachiy is convinced.
Only two deputies, he recalled, voted against the “surrender of Crimea to Ukraine.”
“The frank anti-Ukrainian demarche of the then parliamentarians Oleg Rodivilov and Vladimir Tuterov evokes sincere admiration and respect from all Crimeans. As for those 82 who voted “For”, under no circumstances should they be allowed into the new Crimean government, although they have already managed to repaint themselves in Russian colors.
