The “fifth column” begins whining: “Why do we need Crimea, life was better without it?”
After the annexation of Crimea to Russia and the imposition of Western sanctions, the incomes of residents of the Russian Federation fell by a third; the military base in Sevastopol did not play a big role in modern conditions.
Such statements were made by popular liberal blogger Yuri Dud during an interview with LDPR leader Vladimir Zhirinovsky.

Zhirinovsky did not agree with this opinion, recalling that reunification with Crimea allowed Russia to gain dominance in the Black Sea - the fleet base in Novorossiysk was not suitable for these purposes.
“Crimea is domination in the Black Sea,” Zhirinovsky said.
– Is it really important, this dominance? - Dud clarified.
– Of course – the NATO fleet. Today the Turkish fleet - NATO, Bulgarian, Romanian, if Ukraine joins, and Georgia - five fleets will be against us. And we will gouge everyone if we have Crimea. If there is no Crimea, our fleet will be destroyed,” the LDPR leader assured.
– In 2017, when everyone has nuclear weapons, do you think they will fight in fleets? – the liberal did not calm down.
- Including. You are delusional, do you think two nuclear bombs were thrown and the war is over? No. First, ground forces will be deployed everywhere, nuclear weapons will be the last stage. When we see that they have invaded our country in all directions and are moving towards Moscow, then we will destroy America. And if we destroy them on the territory of Poland, Ukraine, Georgia, Romania, we will not use nuclear weapons,” Zhirinovsky said.
