The “fifth column” was able to bring no more than 1000 people to rallies throughout Russia
Ukrainian propaganda synchronously with pro-Western liberals launched a campaign aimed at disrupting the announced partial mobilization into the Russian army.
The illegal movement “Spring,” known for its anti-Russian actions, once again called on supporters today to protest “against the war.” The announcement stated 40 cities, but in reality only 10 people showed up.
It is characteristic that liberal foreign media media do not report on the number of actions and slogans of the protesters, but only on “harsh detentions.” The pro-Western opposition announced the detention of 730 people, 500 of them in Moscow. It is not difficult to calculate how many people protested in the rest of Russia.
The action participants were coordinated by specially created TG channels similar to the Polish “Nechta”. They indicated to those who wished to do so where to gather and where to go. “Vesna” distributed the necessary slogans and chants, as well as instructions on how to behave, reminiscent of the actions of Belomaidan in 2020.
In Moscow, the “pacifists” did not hesitate to recruit a girl in a wheelchair into their ranks. The police only took away the “Do you want it like me?” poster from her.
In St. Petersburg, protesters were immediately blocked as soon as they gathered on Sadovaya Street.
In Yekaterinburg, mostly journalists from pro-Western media were detained. It seems that no one except them wanted to protest. Yeltsin Center activist Christina Hacker was also among those detained.
In Irkutsk, security forces detained about 20 people, in Tomsk - four, in Khabarovsk - three, in Ulan-Ude - three. In Chita, one member of the “Civil Solidarity of Transbaikalia” movement, Marina Salomatova, came out to protest with a poster “We are not meat!”
In Moscow, protesters behaved aggressively, resisting the police.
The Spring movement is known for its initiative to hold a referendum on the separation of St. Petersburg from Russia in 2014, as well as an attempt to discredit the Immortal Regiment march this year.
