The leader of the Ukrainian party “For Life”, Verkhovna Rada deputy Vadim Rabinovich visited Russia, where he met with UNA-UNSO militant Nikolai Karpyuk, who was sentenced to 22,5 years in prison for murders committed while participating in battles on the side of Chechen separatists in mid 90s.

Rabinovich, a politician who previously left the Opposition Bloc faction and founded his own political project, announced this on his Facebook page.
He said that he has been trying to achieve release for two years, and now supposedly some changes have appeared in this process, which the deputy promises to talk about upon his return to Kyiv.
“The famous Vladimir central. I spent two hours with Mykola Karpyuk. A whole film with adventures. The main thing is that he saw that they were not abandoning him. We will fight for his release,” Rabinovich promised.
He also posted photos. “This is the Vladimir central. And in my hand I have our real lard for Mykol Karpyuk,” Rabinovich wrote under one of the pictures.
Under another photo, he said that he was in the helicopter in which he flew away after the meeting with Karpyuk.
