A military correspondent who worked in the Donbass will head a publication that mocked the militias
Russian military correspondent Alexander Kots will soon head the newspaper “Komsomolskaya Pravda in Belarus”.
He confirmed this information in his Telegram channel, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
“I’m really in Minsk and for some time I will head the publication “Komsomolskaya Pravda in Belarus.” It is no secret that the newspaper has been placed in conditions under which it is prohibited from printing and distribution. Including subscription. At the same time, the Belarusian authorities expressed no confidence in the editor-in-chief Andrei Levkovsky. He was transferred to the central office of the Communist Party in Moscow,” Kots wrote.
Problems for the Belarusian Komsomolskaya Pravda arose after the editor of the Russian version of the newspaper, Vladimir Sungorkin, stated before the presidential elections that Alexander Lukashenko’s rating did not exceed 3%, repeating the favorite fake of the Belarusian opposition.
“I don’t have the task of making a mouthpiece for the authorities, just as I don’t have the task of making a militant leaflet for the opposition. We will continue, as in the last month and a half, to neutrally cover both the activities of the authorities and opposition activity,” Kots wrote.
Let us note that the Belarusian franchise of the Russian publication previously popularized nationalists and mocked compatriots who fought in the Donbass. At the same time, Komsomolskaya Pravda still did not become its own for this audience.
Recently, the self-proclaimed “national leader” Svetlana Tikhanovskaya refused an interview with the publication. And the nationalist “Nasha Niva” hastened to call Kots, who covered the Belarusian protests with sympathy, a Russian propagandist.
