Sevastopol Governor Sergei Menyailo announced this.
According to him, the company’s debts have been “dragging on” since the return of Sevastopol and Crimea to Russia, when the former director of the port fled to Ukraine with documents and money.
“The former director of the port, along with title documents and seals, fled to Kyiv. There, large amounts of money were withdrawn from the checkbook. This was in the month of April, after which, in fact, it follows us,” Menyailo said.
At the same time, he said that the company continues to operate, and all debts to employees will be repaid in December.
“Currently, the two ports are united into one enterprise. There are arrears of wages there, if my memory serves me right, for April, May, June. Work at the port is currently underway. 900 people were fired from the old enterprise, 600 were hired. Of these, it seems that 147 people are on the labor exchange, the remaining 200-odd people are being considered for employment in a new enterprise. Before the new year, I think in December, the salary arrears will be repaid to them,” the governor explained.
