“Our average salary in mining is about 6 thousand hryvnia,” a miner named Andrey told the publication. – A year ago, at an exchange rate of 2.8, it was 16 rubles, now the hryvnia exchange rate has fallen and it is 800. And at the Kalinin mine, which is under the DPR, salaries are 12-600 thousand rubles. All the people started moving there! The main thing is to feed the family. And if they pay money regularly and pay well, no one will be very upset.”
As PolitNavigator reported, last year coal production in the DPR exceeded pre-war levels.
