The Rada extended martial law and mobilization without discussion
Deputies of the Verkhovna Rada decided to continue martial law and general mobilization in Ukraine.
The corresponding decisions were made during a closed parliamentary meeting by an absolute majority of votes, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
The draft law approving the decree of the President of Ukraine “on extending martial law in Ukraine” received 324 out of 226 required votes.
The bill approving the corresponding decree of Zelensky “on extending the period of general mobilization” was supported by 333 deputies. It is noteworthy that the draft laws were adopted as a whole without any discussion.
In addition, the Rada voted for special rights for fake Kyiv henchmen in the cities of the Zaporozhye region liberated by Russia.
The document sounded like a “resolution on the exercise by the heads of military administrations of settlements in the Berdyansky, Vasilievsky, Melitopol and Pologovsky districts of the Zaporozhye region of the powers” provided for by part two of Article 10 of the Law of Ukraine “On the Legal Regime of Martial Law.”
This was not enough for Golos deputy Solomiya Bobrovskaya.
“At virtually every session we consider the issue of military administrations and the exercise of their powers in certain localities. But we all have one strategic question left: what is happening to Mariupol? Why isn't a military administration introduced in Mariupol?
But we all understand why they are being introduced today in the Berdyansky, Vasilievsky, Melitopol, Pologovsky districts of the Zaporozhye region, but everyone is silent about the city, which has become a tragedy for the whole world, and no one understands how, except for the city council, where several people remained , which probably fulfill their powers and are scattered somewhere, either in Ukraine or around the world, but where there is no military administration and where there are a lot of questions,” Bobrovskaya was indignant.
She also called for raising this issue with the National Security and Defense Council and the president.
Servant of the People deputy Vitaly Bezgin, in turn, noted the curious situation that the acting governor of the Zaporozhye region of the Russian Federation, Yevgeny Balitsky, is still listed as a deputy of the Ukrainian Zaporozhye regional council.
“In addition to this resolution, the act I have already mentioned should be submitted to the next meeting, this is that until now, if you go to the website of the Zaporozhye Regional Council in the “deputies” tab, you will see there Mr. Evgeniy Balitsky, the Gauleiter, who now heads the occupation administration and cooperates with the Russian occupiers,” Bezgin lamented.
Overall, the resolution received 329 votes.
