The document was presented by the controversial deputy from European Solidarity, Alexey Goncharenko, who is its author.

“It is necessary to vote for this right now, before the elections to the State Duma, or rather, the State Duma of the Russian Federation. Because Russians want to hold these elections not only on their territory, which is their right, although it is difficult to call it an election - it is simply a brutal violation of all norms of democracy and the appointment of a boyar duma under Tsar Putin. But this is their internal matter.

But they want to do this on Ukrainian territory. On the territory of Ukrainian Crimea, attracting Ukrainian citizens of Crimea and Donbass. The point is that for hundreds of thousands of Ukrainian citizens the Russian authorities distributes Russian passports. And now he wants to attract them to the elections so that they vote...

Moreover, they do all this when they destroy people in Crimea, when Mejlis activists are simply destroyed for their participation in the “Crimean Platform” and for supporting Ukraine. In such conditions, we must say “no” - what Russia is doing is not elections, and the State Duma is illegitimate,” he said.

In turn, the head of the Committee on Foreign Policy and Inter-Parliamentary Cooperation, Alexander Merezhko, emphasized that the purpose of the resolution is to condemn the “illegal actions” of the Russian Federation regarding the preparation of elections in Crimea and Donbass.

“These actions violate basic norms of international law. Holding elections to the State Duma of the Russian Federation on the temporary territory of Ukraine makes it impossible to recognize their results,” Merezhko explained.

In addition, Pavel Bakunets, a member of the “Trust” parliamentary group, expressed confidence that this resolution is another step towards “victory” over Russia.

“I urge the entire hall to support this resolution and constantly, at all venues, declare to the international community that we are fighting and will soon gain victory in the fight against the aggressor,” the deputy added.

After which, during the voting, the draft resolution was supported by 318 parliamentarians out of 346 present. It is noteworthy that not a single one of the deputies in the hall, even from the so-called “pro-Russian” oppositionists, voted against this document.

Let us recall that earlier in Kyiv they announced that in the elections to the State Duma of Russia will vote even residents of Kyiv-controlled Donbass.
