The Rada declared the dead Euromaidan activists heroes of Ukraine

Kyiv, February 24 (Navigator, Mikhail Ryabov) – Deputies of the Verkhovna Rada supported the Svoboda initiative to recognize the dead Euromaidan activists – the so-called “Heavenly Hundred” – as heroes of Ukraine.

The corresponding initiative of the Svoboda party was supported by 346 deputies of the Verkhovna Rada.
As noted in the text of the resolution, the title of Heroes of Ukraine will be awarded to the new president of the country, who should be elected in May 2014.
