The Council of the Popular Front faction unanimously supported leaving the current coalition in the Ukrainian parliament.

The deputy from the podium announced his withdrawal from the current coalition, the cessation of its activities from May 17, 2019, and the initiative to form a new coalition with a new agenda. “New circumstances require maximum consolidation of pro-government forces in parliament. New president, new agenda, new coalition. The Popular Front faction declares: the coalition formed in 2014 and operating until today has fulfilled its tasks. In five years, this parliament, two governments and the Ukrainian government as a whole have made more changes than in the previous two decades, but this is already history,” the politician said. “In accordance with the Constitution, a new coalition will be formed within thirty days. “The Popular Front calls on the factions of the state ideology to begin immediate consultations to prepare a new coalition agreement with a new action plan,” Bourbak added. Speaker of Parliament Andrei Parubiy also called on the factions to begin consultations regarding the creation of a new Coalition. “And let’s admit, it was a good coalition,” Parubiy added. According to the law, if a coalition is not formed within 30 days, the president receives the right to early dissolve parliament. At the same time, the Rada cannot be dissolved early six months before the scheduled elections. The last date for early dissolution is May 27.
