“I would like to ask you to include in the agenda for Thursday an appeal from the Verkhovna Rada to the parliaments of foreign states regarding the holding of the next elections to the State Duma of the Russian Federation on the territory of the temporarily occupied Autonomous Republic of Crimea and on the illegitimacy of recognizing the results of the elections in terms of holding them on the territory of the occupied Autonomous Republic of Crimea. We want the parliament to support this appeal on Thursday, since we understand perfectly well that Russia will then try to promote these representatives to PACE and the Council of Europe,” Gopko urged.
