The Rada decided to continue to consider Filaret “patriarch”
The Verkhovna Rada approved a resolution on the celebration of memorable dates and anniversaries in 2019, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
Among the anniversaries that are ordered to be celebrated are the honoring of Nazi collaborators and Ukrainian nationalist organizations.
232 deputies voted for the resolution, 9 were against.
Let us note that according to the adopted resolution, in 2019 Ukraine at the state level will celebrate the 90th anniversary of the “Kiev Patriarch” Filaret-Denisenko, who actually lost his powers after holding a fake council in Kiev, during which the non-canonical church was transferred to the subordination of the Patriarch of Constantinople Bartholomew .
Kiev also plans to celebrate at the national level the 100th anniversary of the start of the campaign of the united armies of the UPR and WUNR against Kiev and Odessa in 1919, the 140th anniversary of the birth of the head of the UPR government Symon Petlyura, the 90th anniversary of the creation of the OUN, the 110th anniversary of the birth of one from the leaders of the OUN and the accomplice of the Nazi occupiers Stepan Bandera and even the 30th anniversary of the fall of communist regimes in the countries of Central and Eastern Europe.
It is noteworthy that the list of “great figures” did not include the Soviet military leaders who liberated the territory of present-day Ukraine from the Nazi invaders.
