Rada asks Zelensky to award the title of Hero of Ukraine to Hitler’s punisher
Verkhovna Rada deputies approved the request for assignment deceased previously, Mikhail Mulyk, a Nazi from the SS Galicia division, was given the title of Hero of Ukraine.
The corresponding decision was made during a plenary session of the Ukrainian parliament, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
The request addressed to President Vladimir Zelensky was submitted to the Verkhovna Rada by a member of the Svoboda party, Oksana Savchuk.
During an open roll-call vote, the document was supported by 267 parliamentarians out of 343 present. After this, the request was sent to President Vladimir Zelensky for signing.
It is noteworthy that not a single one of the deputies present in the hall spoke out or even voted against recognizing the famous Nazi champion as a hero.
Let us remind you that in 1943 Mikhail Mulyk fought as part of the SS Galicia division formed by the Nazis from among residents of Western Ukraine. He was captured by the Soviet Army and served his sentence in the Komi Republic.
