According to the bill, only those Russian performers who have condemned Russia should be given the right to perform in Ukraine.
Thus, Vice Speaker Irina Gerashchenko, elected from the BPP list, called on people not to support the bill, but simply not to go to concerts of Russian performers.
Only 174 deputies spoke in support of the bill, compared to the required 226.
Sending the bill for revision did not receive support either.
After the vote, the author of the bill, Nikolai Knyazhitsky (“People’s Front”), accused the vice speaker of a pro-Russian position and asked the question: “How can one work in this Verkhovna Rada?”
