People's deputies failed the corresponding changes to the Budget Code.

A new model for financing primary care, according to the bill, was proposed to be introduced in 2018. It was noted that the corresponding financing will be provided based on a single tariff for such services.

A gradual transition to consolidated healthcare financing for all levels of medical care - both primary (at the initial stage) and secondary (specialized) - from 2020 was also proposed.

At the same time, the Verkhovna Rada adopted in the first reading the government bill on state financial guarantees for the provision of medical services and medicines, better known as the medical reform named after the American Minister Ulyana Suprun.
