The Rada is no longer capable of anything
On the eve of early elections, the Verkhovna Rada is no longer able to pass important laws included on the agenda.
This was stated by the head of the Vozrozhdenie deputy group, Viktor Bondar, at a meeting of the conciliation council of faction leaders and committee chairmen, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“I don’t believe that the Rada is now capable of adopting important laws that have been discussed a lot - the law on impeachment and temporary investigative commissions, the law on open lists, the law on immunity. I heard that you are proposing to put the electoral code to a vote. There are 4000 amendments.
The Rada will stop working again before the elections, will get bogged down in these amendments and there will be no more work. But they will expect at least some action from us. For three years we did not hear from the government; it reported to no one knows where and no one knows to whom. It would be possible to bring this up to a separate meeting, listen to each minister - what outstanding things have they done in three years?” Bondar said.
Thank you!
