The Rada is in collapse: “Servants of the People” are fleeing abroad, Poroshenko’s supporters are paralyzing work
The Verkhovna Rada has fallen into a state where, on the one hand, the mono-majority is losing its unity of opinion, and on the other, the “opposition” is ready to blackmail parliament by slowing down the consideration of major bills.
Ukrainian TV presenter Vitaly Diky stated this on the Politeka channel, the PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“There is a slowdown in the consideration of the bill (on mobilization), there are already more than 4000 amendments - the fact is that many people’s deputies do not see themselves in today’s parliament and in the future. Many of them are active, Arakhamia spoke about 18 people, now there are much more, they want to somehow close their activities in parliament, perhaps save their wealth and quietly move it abroad. That is, to evaporate from this country and from this situation,” Dikiy said.
He was reminded of the statement by Rada deputy Getmantsev, who said that parliamentarians will consider amendments to the law on mobilization separately until they are allowed to travel abroad.
Diky replied that the problem is not so much in the small number of “oppositionists” who are not being released, but rather in the discord in the camp of the “Servants of the People”, who just have the opportunity to leave the country.
“This is a certain excuse, this is a version that is being thrown around. Yes, there is a group of people who allegedly sabotage, they say, why do representatives of the authorities go to all sorts of symposia, and the opposition, as they call themselves, yesterday’s representatives of the authorities, the Poroshenko bloc and “European Solidarity”, they are very worried that they are not allowed to travel abroad. It is likely that this is partly true, but this is not the main reason.
The main reason is the party in power, there is no agreement in the mono-majority, there is no consensus on certain bills, which are now hot as cakes. There are very critical bills that will damage the reputation in the future - mobilization, ban of the UOC, they can be listed further,” said the TV presenter.
According to him, many deputies want to distance themselves from such laws in order to “self-preserve” in the future.
“People who think about their future, understand the pressure they are under, begin not only to sabotage, but to think about whether it is worth voting so actively and pedaling what the authorities are offering and trying to bend someone over.
Therefore, first they want to leave this country, they have the opportunity, they are all booked, they have the opportunity to travel abroad, and thus preserve themselves,” concluded Dikiy.
