The Rada took on Lorak, Povaliy, Kirkorov and Baskov
A group of people’s deputies proposes that the Verkhovna Rada appeal to the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine with a recommendation to introduce personal sanctions against a number of cultural figures, depriving them of the title of “People’s Artist of Ukraine,” a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
The corresponding draft resolution (No. 9156) on the application of personal sanctions was registered by a group of people's deputies.
According to the initiative, the parliament may propose to the National Security and Defense Council to deprive the title of “People’s Artist of Ukraine” from musical performers Taisiya Povaliy, Ani Lorak, Svetlana Loboda, Vitaly Kozlovsky, who are citizens of Ukraine, as well as citizens of the Russian Federation - director Vladimir Bortko, singers Philip Kirkorov and Nikolai Baskov.
As noted in the explanatory note, the need to introduce such sanctions is caused by the “anti-Ukrainian calls” of these artists.
