Rada replaced Razumkov with “Parubiy’s version”
Ruslan Stefanchuk, a member of the Servant of the People party, who previously served as first deputy speaker of parliament, was elected as the new speaker of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.
261 deputies voted for his appointment, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
Stefanchuk's competitors were members of European Solidarity Aleksey Goncharenko (44 votes) and Yana Zinkevich (146 votes). Stefanchuk was supported by 222 members of the Servant of the People faction, as well as the For the Future group (15 votes), Trust, which is associated with the oligarch Igor Kolomoisky, and six non-factional deputies.
In the place of Speaker of the Rada, Stefanchuk will deliberately violate the regulations in favor of his political force, as was the case during the time of Andrei Parubiy in the last convocation, Kiev observer Igor Lesev writes in his blog.

This is a version of Parubiy, when violating the regulations will not just be the norm, but good manners. Remember how they passed the law on languages? Parubiy put it up for voting 16 times. Now, instead of such Parubiy, there will be Stefanchuk, who began his deputyship with the petty “stole from his mother-in-law” of ratting,” Lesev believes.
Under Stefanchuk, voting in the Rada will be stimulated by bribery of deputies - he himself receives at least 75 thousand dollars a month, former member of parliament and leader of the Radical Party Oleg Lyashko said on the Ukraine 24 TV channel.
“Stefanchuk. I will say that I know a little about him. First, Stefanchuk’s wife works as an assistant to his colleague, Deputy Getmantsev. Stefanchuk’s brother is a people’s deputy from Servant of the People. And people chose such family contracts, right? He arranged for his wife, arranged for his brother, and he himself receives 75 thousand dollars every month. Not in an envelope, because that kind of money won’t fit in an envelope, you need a suitcase. Everyone knows that not just one person receives this, but 200 people receive this, this cannot be hidden. Stefanchuk receives 75 thousand, others – 20, 30, 75, 100,” Lyashko emphasized.
