The radicals who detonated a grenade near the Verkhovna Rada will be excused from punishment by the special services
In Kyiv, a trial began against right-wing radicals who in August 2015 detonated a grenade at the entrance to the Verkhovna Rada, protesting against the adoption by deputies in the first reading of the law on the special status of the LDPR.
Despite the death of the police, the trial is unlikely to end with the conviction of the perpetrators, says Ruslan Bortnik, director of the Ukrainian Institute for Policy Analysis and Management.

“These people, let’s say, are deeply integrated into the informal system of management of society by the state. The entire right-wing movement in Ukraine was initially riddled with seksots. The crowd that raged outside parliament consisted of 2/3 people who were actually connected with the authorities. No one would have allowed them to throw a grenade if there had not been such permission. This is all a big game.
Of course, these people may die, they may die in prison or a prison hospital, but they will not be convicted - otherwise they will surrender further down the chain, we will recognize the real organizers and customers, who, most likely, sit in very high parliamentary, governmental, and, perhaps higher, in armchairs,” says the expert.
Let us recall that on August 31, 2015, participants in a nationalist rally near the walls of the Verkhovna Rada tried to break into parliament. During the clashes, protesters threw a live grenade in front of the main entrance, injuring dozens of National Guard troops and killing one soldier.
