About it says the publication of the influential Kyiv weekly “Zerkalo Nedeli”.
“During 2016, seven regional councils approved decisions that frankly go beyond their powers and involve the establishment of “contractual relations in the distribution of powers” between the state and the regions, which in fact means “federalization”, but in reality - the collapse of the state,” it says in the publication.
The author points out that these decisions can be used to further undermine the situation in Ukraine.
“As soon as possible, implementation of Part 2 of Art. 144 of the Constitution of Ukraine - on the establishment of procedures for terminating decisions of local self-government bodies on the grounds of their non-compliance with the Constitution or laws of Ukraine - becomes task number one for the spring session of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine,” writes the concerned author of the article
