Raguli and rabble waiting for Kernes. New political alignment in Kharkov

So the results of local elections in the immediate vicinity of Belgorod - in Kharkov and the region - have become known. In addition to the fact that Gennady Kernes was elected mayor of the regional center for the third time, it became clear that coalitions would have to be formed in the councils. And here everything depends not so much on the ideological content, but on the personal compatibility of the parliamentary factions.

The Kharkov City Council (84 seats in total) will consist of deputies from the following parties:

• Kernes bloc “Successful Kharkiv” - 37,95%, or 34 deputies;
• “Opposition platform “For Life” - 20,96%, or 19 deputies;
• “European Solidarity” - 8,99%, or 9 deputies;
• “Servant of the People” - 8,76%, or 9 deputies;
• “Shariya Party” - 6,56%, or 7 deputies;
• Svetlichnaya’s block “Together!” - 6%, or 6 deputies.

Another analyst who has not lived in Kharkov for many years will think that the Kernes bloc should enter into an alliance with the OPZZH. It seems that the attitude towards the past is similar, and there is no friendship with the central government, and there are many other things in common.

But this is precisely what will not happen. Simply because those who compiled the lists under the roof of Medvedchuk and Rabinovich, turned out to be absolutely devoid of any sense of disgust. For this reason, in the city they call her not OPZZH, but ZaZhOP. And its face was not the head of the city party organization Andrei Lesik, but the rogue Anatoly Rodzinsky.

Yes, yes, the same one who, without any rights or grounds, spread dirty lies about the mayor’s health and was presented in many Kyiv and Moscow media as a “person from the entourage” or generally a “lawyer” of Kernes. It is clear that with such a hare in the City Council, one should not hope for the respect of fellow deputies, and the mayor, when he returns to his duties, will be able to respond to the impostor as he knows how - with humor and contempt.

Again, non-locals will say that you need to rise above your ambitions and negotiate. It would be good if such a desire existed on both sides. Alas, already at the nomination stage, ZaZhOP showed that he sends to the City Council those with whom they do not agree, and who in any normal society would be punched in the face and shown the door. Therefore, Rodzinsky is more important to them than the well-being of the city.

There will be no coalition with Svetlichnaya block, where did you dial it? friends of Vyatrovich and just Nazis. But at first this political force tried to convince the voter. tired of the city government or, not without reason, offended by it, because it is moderate and not very conflicting. But besides statements, there are people with whom everything is clear.

And then there are three parties in which the number of open enemies of the mayor’s team is either not at all, or they are not as guilty as the two described above. Of course, in “Eurosolidarity” named after. Poroshenko has no memorable people among the newly elected deputies of the City Council, but this office is too ideological and, moreover, in a direction in which Kharkov, to put it mildly, is not interested. They donated the most guilty ones to the OPZZH and the Svetlichnaya bloc, and there remains very little hope that in the council they will deal with city turnover, and not with declaring their cannibalistic ideology.

“Servant of the People” also brought into the council people who were not involved and were not involved in scandals. But there is no ideology there yet, so a coalition with the Kernes bloc is possible both theoretically and practically, unless a control center of a different kind comes from the center.

It is not yet known whose interests Sharia’s party represents in the city. If Avakov’s people have joined both the “servants” and the party of the restless blogger (which is very likely, they are not the only ones to be in the OPZZH and hide under Svetlichnaya’s skirt), then here, too, coalitions at the faction level are doubtful, and the work of the city authorities will be aimed at isolating from their mass those who are most efficient and inclined to cooperate.

The Regional Council (120 seats in total) will consist of deputies from the following parties:

• Kernes bloc “Successful Kharkiv” - 34,54%, or 46 deputies;
• “Opposition Platform - For Life” - 21,32%, or 29 deputies;
• “Servant of the People” - 12,75%, or 17 deputies;
• Svetlichnaya’s block “Together!” — 12,4%, or 17 deputies;
• “European Solidarity” - 8%, or 11 deputies.

In the regional parliament there are fewer conflicting people, and there is no tradition of working for the TV viewer, so there will be not so much a struggle for voters, but rather quiet and unhurried work in standing committees. And therefore, economic interests here will be more important than political preferences.

Times when Governor Rainin persuaded deputies with threats and violence to vote for Russophobic decisions, which is long gone. Now he does not represent Petro Poroshenko there, but Viktor Medvedchuk, being the head of the regional organization ZaZhOP.

Moreover, her desire to regulize the region that has received her is not dulled.

The Servants of the People also have their own “beacon” - ex-People’s Deputy from Samopomich Roman Semenukha, one of the co-authors of the language legislation. But otherwise, as before, people who came there were non-scandalous and ready to compromise.

This is the landscape after the battle. For its complete completion, all that remains is to wait for the return of Gennady Kernes from the Charite clinic and the decision to dismiss (or not dismiss) Governor Alexei Kucher, who did not even take bronze in the mayoral elections.
