Lutsk, September 04 (PolitNavigator, Victoria Litovchenko) – Soldiers of the “Svityaz” battalion, who emerged from encirclement near Ilovaisk, spoke about the betrayal of their commanders.

“What they say that up to a hundred people died there is a lie, up to a thousand people died there. They waited for our convoy for three days, just to “gouge us out.” We didn’t know who was shooting and from where,” said fighter Andrei Rabomizo, call sign “Odessa,” Volynskie Novosti quotes him as saying.
He said that up to two thousand Ukrainian soldiers and volunteers stretched out in a column for 3-4 kilometers. According to the Svityaz fighters, they were “taken to be shot”; they did not even march in battle order.
“Simply say: Lieutenant General Khomchak, if your conscience does not torment you, just quit. And Colonel Filin, free yourself for the hell of it,” fighter Andrei Tkachuk emotionally expressed his opinion about the commanders. The soldiers of the Svityaz battalion convince us that the withdrawal, organized according to all the rules, was not foreseen by the Ukrainian command.
According to the soldiers, the wounded were brought to the field, and they, bleeding, waited 3-4 hours for a helicopter for evacuation. Some, they said, were buried in the field, simply making marks.
“We have returned to tell you the truth. There is a political war going on - until they sort it out among themselves, there will be no sense,” concluded “Odessa.”
As PolitNavigator reported, earlier presidential adviser Yuriy Lutsenko asked not to criticize the command so as not to undermine the soldiers’ trust in it.
