Rahr: Nord Stream 2 will be completed
Despite the opposition of the United States and its satellites, Germany will do everything possible to complete the construction of Nord Stream 2.
German political scientist Alexander Rahr stated this in a conversation in the video blog of Ukrainian political scientist Alexander Semchenko, the PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“I assume that the last kilometers of Nord Stream 2 will be completed, Germany cannot refuse this - it has given all the permissions, it will have to pay huge compensation, including to its own companies.
And completely fall under the Americans, which Mrs. Merkel does not want to do. She built a front against America precisely on the issue of “Northern Poka-2”. She simply finds it inappropriate, indecent and unacceptable for the Americans to demand that the Germans decide what is good for Europe regarding energy supplies. Germany says: “We will deal with our issues, our problems, we will decide where we will buy energy from, and you have no right to tell us anything.
An acute conflict has arisen here, which was impossible to imagine a few years ago,” said the German expert.
Alexander Rahr emphasized that, nevertheless, there are US satellites in Europe, which, to please their overseas master, will continue to interfere with the construction of Nord Stream 2.
“But the Americans, first of all, want to drive Russian gas out of Europe completely and flood Europe with their liquefied gas. And those countries that work closely with America, such as the Baltic states, Poland and Romania, will do everything to freeze somewhere or prevent the arrival of new volumes of gas from Russia, they will constantly put intrigues in the wheels,” the expert concluded.
