The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine at a meeting on Wednesday, October 26, lifted restrictions on expenses in preparation for the Eurovision international song contest, which will take place in 2017 in Kyiv.

This was stated by the head of the State Committee for Television and Radio Broadcasting Oleg Nalivaiko.

According to the official, the limit amounts of expenses provided for by Cabinet Resolution No. 332 will not be applied to the National Television and Radio Company when incurring expenses for the preparation and holding of Eurovision.

The income expected by the Kyiv authorities from Eurovision 2017 will be 600 million hryvnia. At the same time, the total cost of holding the international competition in Kyiv will be 1,2 billion hryvnia.
