The US will extinguish the division with hatred of Russia
The idea of hatred of Russia, cultivated in the United States since the presidency of Barack Obama, may become a tool with which politicians will try to unite American society, split in the last elections.
Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov shared this gloomy forecast at a press conference, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“In the Russian direction, our political scientists (and I generally agree with them) do not expect any revolutionary changes. America is deeply divided, as we can see from the results of the presidential election. And it is clear that responsible politicians must look for some kind of connection that will allow them to overcome this split and promote some unifying ideas that will unite the American people.
And here, given that in many respects this is the responsibility of the two leading political parties - Republicans and Democrats, many observers, analyzing what may be common between these two political forces, in order for them to somehow unite and solve common problems, and among Of common denominators, many put the attitude towards the Russian Federation in the first place.
And over the past four years, starting from the last months of Obama’s presidency, such Russophobia was sown in American society that it has now become part of the political culture. It will be a shame if they begin to reunite America as a nation on such a Russophobic basis,” Lavrov said.
